Melissa Powell
Melissa was born in West Palm Beach, FL. As a child she discovered a love of singing and acting. From the time she could talk, she's been performing for anyone who would watch - even writing her own plays and musicals and organizing the neighborhood children into performing troups! After receiving a B.A in Theatre, she attended Circle in the Square Musical Theatre Conservatory in New York City. Melissa discovered Music Together® when she brought a child she was taking care of to a class. She fell in love with the joy of singing with families and the excitement she felt from being able to share her passions with children. Melissa is thrilled to be teaching and can't wait to sing, play and make music with you!

Weston Burroughs
Weston grew up in Montgomery, AL. After seeing a performance of Beethoven's 6th Symphony when he was 10 years old, he knew that no matter what he grew up to be, it would involve music. He has taught elementary and high school music in New York and New Jersey for a combined six years and has been teaching at Union Academy in Monroe since 2007 as well as directing the Children's Choirs at Matthews United Methodist Church. Weston can play ten instruments (that he knows of), but his favorite will always be the egg shaker! He is excited to share his love for music with everyone and shake those eggs!

Lisa Hojnowski
Lisa was raised in Southern New Jersey. She credits her passion for music to her father, who filled their home with the sounds of his guitar and vocal “folk group” practice sessions and music from his vast collection of vinyl records. Lisa’s favorites included The Best of the Eagles and the Flashdance soundtrack, to which she would spend hours singing and choreographing her own concerts. For the past 10 years Lisa has devoted her life to her other passion…children. From her role as the Director of a national parent/child play and music program to that as a Preschool Teacher, Lisa understands the importance of exposing children to various forms of music in their early years. She is excited to bring both of these passions together in her classes and looks forward to singing, swaying and moving to the beat with all of her Music Together families.
